Transitions can be sticky, awkward, & downright tough. Sometimes we resist transitions as they can often make us feel uprooted, overwhelmed, & unsure about our next steps forward; but behind the discomfort lies abundant opportunity for transformation!
In this 90 minute extended practice, we’ll explore a strong, slow-ish flow that allows us to pay extra close attention to the transitions between postures. By practicing methodical movement, we build strength, awareness, and patience.
We’ll also explore Sama Vritti pranayama (box breathing)—using a pause between lengthened inhales and exhales to heighten awareness to the breath’s transitions as we strive to establish patience with the moments in-between.
Whether it’s a shift in a living situation, a career, a relationship, or something else–the intention for this extended practice is to cultivate deeper awareness of how we respond to transitions off the mat in an attempt to help us ground, slow down, & develop greater resilience in the process of change.
This workshop is designed for practitioners who have been practicing consistently for at least one year—-those who have a solid foundation/understanding of most physical postures.
This workshop is not suitable for beginners.
